Our qualified and committed pediatricians are all Fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and are dedicated to improving the lives and health of the people they serve through caring, sharing, teaching and learning.

Dr. Roderick Davis

Dr. Davis is a board-certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. After attending St. John’s University College of Pharmacy, Dr. Davis completed M.S. degrees in Psychology and Zoology at SUNY Binghamton. He received his M.D. from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and stayed in Rochester to complete his pediatric residency at Strong. Dr. Davis is a Clinical Instructor in Pediatrics at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. Dr. Davis enjoys golf, photography, and being a gym rat.

Dr. Chad Preston

Dr. Preston is a board-certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has been practicing primary care pediatrics since 2005. A Rochester native, he received a B.S. in Genetics from Cornell University, then obtained his M.D. from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City in 2002. He then returned to complete his residency in pediatrics at the Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong.  Dr. Preston is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He enjoys playing guitar and reading. The Prestons have two children.

Dr. Joshua Noel

Dr. Noel is a board-certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  He joined our practice in July 2021 after completing a pediatrics residency at the Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong. Originally from California, he received B.A. degree in Economics and Philosophy from UCLA and then served seven years in the U.S. Army. After leaving the military, he received his M.D. from UCSF in San Francisco in 2018 before moving to Rochester for residency. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, anything technological, getting outdoors, and he is getting started in woodworking. The Noels have five young children who constantly keep them on their toes.

Dr. Michael Holmes (Emeritus)

Dr. Holmes has been practicing medicine for 41 years. After earning his PhD at The University of Maryland Medical Center, he completed his pediatric residency at Cook County Children’s Hospital in Chicago. He also spent a year as a critical care fellow at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital, specializing in pediatric trauma. He then moved home to Rochester, where he served the needs of children and families at Portland Pediatric Group for 37 years. He believes the relationships he’s forged with the community are what has made his career so special. Dr. Holmes was integral in the Rochester Pediatric Society, where he served as president for many years. He was one of the founders of our Strong Hospital Pediatric ICU. He also kept busy as a lacrosse coach in the community. Retirement will enable him to spend time with his family and grandchildren while pursuing his love of reading, photography and woodwork.
